Our Sales Team
The demand-side, energy engineering services marketplace is growing exponentially! The key drivers behind this tremendous growth are: clients' relentless pursuit of lower energy costs and a smaller carbon footprint, the embracing and acceptance of sustainable energy solutions by the business community, emerging legislation and the availability of rebates that reward energy conservation projects. Our Account Executives identify clients in need of assistance, develop proposals specific to their needs and close sales.
- Job Description:We have an immediate need for an Account Executive for New York City
Looking for a competitive, experienced outside sales professional to join our rapidly growing New York City team. You'll be able to leverage our excellent reputation in the industry to sell to a wide range of clients that includes property management firms, building owners, higher education, healthcare, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and national retail chains. We expect a high level of direct sales activity (in-person sales calls, proposals and presentations) within sixty days of joining the firm to ensure that you are on track to significant bookings and commissions. Experience in consultative sales is desired. Successful candidates will have significant experience in selling energy equipment, products and/or energy services to "C" level decision makers as well as relationships and first hand knowledge of doing business in New York City. We expect first year sales bookings of $1 million.
- Skills/Requirements:In order to be successful in this role, you'll need to perform the following responsibilities:
- Sell our demand-side energy services to owners and their representatives within New York City.
- Maintain a minimum pipeline of $1.5M.
- Identify opportunities and present to C-level decision makers.
- Be in front of customers 80% of the time
- Prioritize responsibilities and plan the day/week to maximize results
- Track sales activities and results using the appropriate software tools
- Develop a value proposition for Dome-Tech products and services
- Hunt for new business opportunities while continuing relationships with existing customers to ensure recurring sales and positioning of the firm as a client's energy advisor and energy project developer.
In order to be successful in this role, you’ll need to possess the following minimum qualifications
- BS in technical discipline with a demonstrated track record of at least 5 years in energy equipment, products or service sales in the industrial and commercial marketplace.
- Demonstrated track record of multi million dollar sales years
- Strong work ethic and a desire to achieve higher levels of income
- Processes relationships with building owners and property management firms within NYC with ability to close deals within the first 60 days.
- Ability to quickly identify, qualify and present to the “C” level decision makers
- Ability to handle value-driven negotiations
- Strong focus on achieving customer goals. Knows the importance of account management and “customers for life”
· Ability to flourish in a highly goal-oriented environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills with both clients and internal engineering and sales support teams.
- CEM, LEED and/or PE certification is a plus
- Working knowledge of building energy systems and energy plant operations
- An understanding of demand-side energy conservations measures
