Job Description:Top, downtown Manhattan mass tort law firm seeks experienced litigation paralegal. Position will be in the medical life science (medical malpractice) defense litigation case management practice group. Individual must have excellent written, analytical and communication skills. Scanning and electronic document review experience is a plus. Familiarity with legal and medical terminology is recommended. Candidate should be self motivated, work well independently as well as a member of the team. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: document scanning, profiling and retrieval; drafting of legal documents such as answers, summons and complaints; obtaining medical records and experts; document discovery; calendaring; data entry; file organization and documentation; research; trail preparation; etc. eDiscovery knowledge a plus.

Skills/Requirements:

Defense litigation experience required

College degree preferred

Excellent written, analytical and communication skills are necessary

Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, scanning, electronic document review and general database knowledge necessary
