BNA’s Press Release

PRESS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
May 18, 2009

BNA STAYS AFLOAT IN STORMY TIMES

NEW YORK, NY – In a constantly shifting economy, Bernard, Nickels and Associates (BNA) is working harder than ever to remain one of the strongest staffing companies in the business. By utilizing technology to the fullest, creating new partnerships and making smart financial decisions, the company has continued to work off its solid business foundation and ultimately stay afloat in one of the most difficult times.

The reason behind the success of BNA is the company’s flexibility and resourcefulness. Partners Brad Widolok and Mike Gardner, along with many of the recruiters have created LinkedIn accounts, designed Facebook and Myspace pages as well as reached out to smaller job sites that offer free postings in an effort to connect or re-connect with friends and potential companies to work with. In turn, these friends who now have businesses have turned to BNA for their staffing needs. Widolok is more optimistic than ever about BNA, saying, “Even though these are challenging economic times, it doesn’t mean there aren’t companies growing and hiring staff.” Gardner further adds, “Companies are looking for flexible staffing solutions. As the demand for staffing increases, candidates should keep an open mind to consulting or temporary opportunities that may lead to a full time offer down the road”.

Everyone at BNA has found that these changing times have forced them to alter the way they work. Industries that are rapidly growing such as legal, government and anything green have many opportunities, and BNA has made sure to place their valued clients in some of the best paid positions out there. In addition, to reach more potential contacts, the company has started a blog (www.bnastaffing.com/newsletter) in which a “Hot Job of the Week” is posted to generate buzz. With such a large following, blogs are the newest way to spread the word to mass audiences who spend such a large portion of their days on the computer.

A final way BNA has been able to weather the storm is by making smart financial decisions. When other companies have entirely cut down their expenses, BNA has worked to trim down excessive spending while still keeping clients and employees satisfied. In the current state of economy, it is important to find the right balance of what’s necessary for the business to succeed, and what can be done without, such as entertainment. Gardner finally notes that while times might be tough, success can be achieved simply by “staying focused and keeping your head in the game”, which just might be the reason why BNA is weathering the times so well.

Bernard, Nickels and Associates, founded in 2002, is a staffing firm that concentrates on Information Technology, Legal, Office Support and Accounting/Finance openings. Partners Brad Widolok and Michael Gardner head up a team that strives to bring the highest level of integrity to each client and applicant. Started in New York, the firm has most recently expanded to Chicago and looks to continue the expansion.
