Security Analyst
Job Description
- Monitor, update, and configure security systems, including SIEM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, Endpoint, Proxy, Mail, Web Portal configuration, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP).
- Analyze phishing emails and associated malware, engaging support teams for containment, cleanup, and recovery.
- Ensure the protection of proprietary/confidential data, systems, and facilities.
- Create and implement standard operating policies, procedures, guidelines, and processes for IT security functions.
- Stay informed on emerging cyber threats and vulnerabilities, applying lessons learned to current procedures.
- Review contracts for security language and requirements, ensuring compliance with security standards.
- Create, update, and manage technical documents, including Policies, Standards, and Procedures, to meet ISO 27001 requirements.
- Facilitate company compliance with regulations such as ADA, HIPAA, HITECH, PCI, PII, HITRUST, and ISO 27002.
- Implement approved IT Security service requests and promote awareness of IT Security policies throughout the company.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of IT security experience.
- Strong understanding of core operating systems, applications, and networking concepts.
- Knowledge of compliance and security regulations (e.g., HIPAA, PCI, ISO 27001).
- Ability to create and manage technical documents to meet security standards.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
