  • Integrate historical data into unit and man-hour figures within HCSS Heavy Bid.

Subcontractor and Supplier Management:

  • Manage subcontractor requests for proposals (RFPs) and establish contact with suppliers to ensure accurate and up-to-date pricing.

  • Review design options and recommend the most efficient and cost-effective solutions based on material availability and engineering quality.

Bid Reviews and Process Improvement:

  • Lead bid review sessions with the Chief Estimator and management team before bid submission.

  • Continuously improve estimating processes, system utilization, and performance.

Contract Management:

  • Support awarded contracts by estimating additional work items, processing change orders, managing credits, and procuring materials as necessary.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of operational experience on structures-related projects including bridges, retaining walls, cast-in-place structures, precast structures, box culverts, and other heavy civil/highway work.
