Engagement Manager


Type: Contract

Duration: 6 Months (with potential for extension)

Location: Remote

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week

Pay Range: $70 to $76 per hour

Responsibilities:

Application Technology Solutions

- Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of application technology solutions in line with strategic business objectives.

- Ensure business needs are clearly understood and implemented solutions meet expectations.

- Provide consultation to leadership and customers on solution options and vendor product selection as needed.

- Collaborate with channel leadership to budget and prioritize planned and unplanned development and maintenance project engagements.

- Work with Business System Analysts (BSA) and Solution Architects to assess the scope and feasibility of technical solutions.

- Oversee product planning, delivery, release management, and deployment to align with technology standards and business needs.

Product Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day decisions related to assigned projects.

- Collaborate with channel and business leadership to develop strategies for product roadmaps.

- Seek opportunities to reduce application costs and increase production efficiencies.

- Integrate business strategies and software capabilities (current and future) into the vision and direction for all channel-related products.

- Collaborate with channel leaders and project teams to design, develop, and support enterprise-wide solutions.

- Work with BSAs and Solution Architects to ensure appropriate business processes, support, and maintenance are in place.

Project Responsibilities

- Lead all design and development aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) for client's projects.

- Ensure adherence to standards, procedures, and methodologies in the delivery life cycle.

- Align development and maintenance projects with channel strategy, product vision, and innovation roadmaps.

- Oversee project execution, resource deployment, leadership, and coordination efforts to meet schedules and budgets.

- Communicate development and production status and issues to management and stakeholders.

- Develop project documentation in collaboration with the PMO, including initiation documentation, budgets, project plans, and resource plans.

- Ensure resources assigned to projects are meeting deadlines and focused on key activities.

- Escalate issues, risks, and decisions to the Channel Leader or other stakeholders as necessary, and develop mitigating actions.

- Monitor progress and status of deliverables.

- Ensure proper functioning of products and applications, recommending upgrades as necessary.

- Review projects for completeness and consistency of approach and interfaces.

Project Delivery Teaming

- Collaborate with PMO to prepare overall project schedules, milestones, tasks, and estimates.

- Participate in technology and solution decisions with architecture and product teams.

- Collaborate with Solution and Application Architects to document technical design, unit testing, deployment, and implementation requirements.

- Work with BSAs to analyze business and functional requirements impacting business applications.

- Optimize development resource mix by collaborating with offshore Technical Delivery Managers.

- Coordinate with architecture and development teams to perform code reviews for alignment with predefined architecture and design.

- Collaborate with BSAs and Quality Engineering teams to ensure proper testing.

- Lead project delivery teams with a focus on continuous process improvement.

Offshore Team Oversight

- Monitor daily progress and status of deliverables on projects.

- Lead internal and offshore vendor teams in project delivery, planning, and staffing.

- Ensure all project resources remain focused on aligned efforts.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree required.

- Strong project management experience.

- Familiarity with Talent/HR space.

- Proficient in ADO/Jira.

- Experience working with global teams.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.

- Self-motivated and capable of thriving in a fast-paced work environment.

- Ability to balance multiple projects across several clients.

- Demonstrated ability to drive teams to deliver on-time results.

- SAFe certification preferred.

- Experience with SAP HANA is a plus.

- Experience leading and managing data-centric reporting projects is a plus.
